Beauty Pie, is it worth it?
Today I want to talk pie. No the pie you put in your face; the pie you put on your face. For those of you who live in the UK or US, I’m about to make your day.
Beauty Pie is a buyer’s club that gives members access to luxury skincare and makeup products at cost (plus a few quid, they have to make money too). You pay a certain amount a month – as little £5 – and that gives you a designated amount of money to spend. I’ll go into more detail shortly. But first I want to share some of my favourites products:
Super Healthy Hair Detox Wash Shampoo
This detox shampoo is heaven. I started using it just a few weeks ago and my hair loves me for it. I put my poor strands through a lot – I harshly colour (I am SO not a natural blond but I find it keeps the pesky greys at bay) and I blow dry most days. I do try to counter-balance with regular masks (hello Olaplex No 3 and L’Oreál Professional Serié Expert Absolute Repair Gold Mask) but that’s just more stuff I’m putting on it. What it needs is a deep clean. But without stripping. It contains:
- Charcoal to draw out impurities
- Apple cider vinegar to prevent damage from frequent washing
- Moringa seed peptides to protect against environmental pollution
- Amino acids to enhance colour retention and shine
- Peptides to maximise hydration and volume

Japanfusion Pure Transforming Cleanser
This gentle cleanser is perfect for both mornings and evenings. I personally prefer a balm for my first evening cleanse so this is better for the second. I love the milky texture when mixed with water. Can’t go wrong.

Double-Sided Organic Cleansing & Exfoliating Cloths
These 100% cotton cloths are an incredible value. One side gently scrubs away all the makeup and SPF (first cleanse) and the other side finishes the whole thing off (second cleanse). I use a new one every night so it will be going into my basket with every order.

Dr Glycolic MultiAcid Micropeeling Pads
Exfoliation is essential. Everyone should be doing it. Even those with sensitive skin can find the right product to add to your routine. We shed between 30-40K skin cells a day (our skin is an incredible organ) so it’s critical we remove dead cells that can clog pores and cause breakouts. We want that new, fresh skin to shine through. These pre-soaked pads are a dream. Containing 5% glycolic + niacinimide (my fav!) I saw an immediate improvement to my skin. I’ll keep buying them.

Pure Ceramides Elastic Boost Eye Serum
I am officially in love. If you’ve watched my skincare routine or Beauty Pie review (July 2020) on YouTube you already know this. Research shows we really don’t need to use different products under the eye. Every acid, serum, antioxidant, cream can be used right up to your lower lash line. But I don’t care - I love using eye products and will continue to do so. I like to provide a little extra care to this delicate area. This product is pure luxury. It feels amazing and my skin around my eyes feels plumper. Ceramides are what holds our skin cells together – strengthens the skin’s barrier – to maintain hydration and make our skin plumper and firmer. Buy it.

Superactive Capsules Pure Double Vit C / Vit E serum
These capsules are brilliant. Super convenient and packed with goodness. They contain 10% Vitamin C (which is a little light for me) and would be an excellent way to introduce it into your routine. It’s a powerhouse antioxidant that protects from UV damage, stimulates collagen production and fights the signs of aging. I’ve been using Vit C for years so a lot of dark spots I got from years of growing up in the Florida sun have faded away. It also contains soothing Vit E for moisture. This will make your skin glow. The handy capsule formula is awesome – fab for travel (if I was doing that, of course).

Travel tip : I use a number of capsule formulas (vit c, ceramide, retinol) so I put them into contact lens holders and throw them in the suitcase. Each side holds 3-4 capsules so I can easily get a week with just 1 or 2 of those cases.
Super Healthy Skin Ultimate Anti-Aging Lotion
The moisturiser is the last step in the morning or evening skincare routine (except for SFP in the am, of course) and its job is to lock in all goodness of the previous steps. It creates a barrier, traps and holds in moisture. This lotion does not disappoint. It’s light enough for day use yet contains all the goodies – hyaluronic acid, proteins, collagens, antioxidants.

SuperActive Capsules Essential Ceramides
I believe I’ve already mentioned my love of ceramides, so it was a no-brainer to give this one a try. I’ve been using a similar ceramide product by Elizabeth Arden for years so imagine my delight to find an equally fabulous product for a fraction of the price. I put this on after my Tretinoin, which gives immediate relief to the tightness it causes. Oh, I’ll be buying again.

Jeju Daily AM/PM Moisture Superinfusion
I’m using this moisturiser in the evening, after tretinoin and ceramides. It detoxifies and contains ingredients to protect, hydrate and balance. It’s yummy.

Super Healthy Skin Amazing Sleep Oil
My face loves oily stuff. As I age (ahem) I fight like crazy to get the dewiness. Oil-based products are a hit so this is my final step at night. I’ve also starting using during the day under a moisturiser I’m trying out. It’s not delivering the hydration I need, so adding a tiny bit of this is working a treat. It’s HUGE bottle so very good value.

Super Healthy Skin UltraLight SPF 25 (UK ONLY)
This is a gorgeous sunscreen. It feels amazing on the skin and it plays well with makeup. My only drawback is the strength. It’s too low for me (I’m a 50 kind of gal) but I still wear all the time, layered under my Trinny BFF, which has SPF 30.
Featherlight UVA/UVB SPF 50 Sunscreen + Primer (UK only)
This launched week ago and I have yet to try it but you can bet your buttom dollar that I’ll be reporting back on this soon. Definite purchase, no doubts about it.
Ultralight Daily SPF30 Broad-Spectrum Sunscreen (US ONLY)
I haven’t tried this (not available in the UK), but I feel pretty safe recommending it. These guys know what they’re doing on SPF.
Super Healthy Skin Deluxe Moisture Body Crème
This gorgeous cream smells amazing. It’s overflowing with vitamin c and fatty acids to reduce water loss and contains shea butter to nourish and soothe. And it smells good enough to eat.

One Powder Wonder
This uber-translucent powder is a dream. It’s micro-fine, uber-light and totally invisible. I only use a little along my t-zone. It’s magic.

FutureLipstick Luxe Shine
This is a lovely forumlation. Super smooth, hydrating. I don’t think I chose the right colour, but for £7.50 you can bet I’m going to keep trying til I get it right!
UK: https://bit.ly/3fSpKtU US:https://bit.ly/2CBat2t
Wondercolour Longwear Cream Eyeshadow Stick
Please note: you will not be disappointed. They’re super easy to use, glide on and stay put. At £5.50 each, I intend to own them all.

Superbrow Luxe Precision Pencil
I like it. It’s has a brush on one end to shape first and fine tip to fill in the tiny spot where hairs don’t grow. Can’t beat it.
UK: https://bit.ly/2BsvE6b US: https://bit.ly/3ga7cWp
Seamless Foundation Buffing Brush
This synthetic brush works brilliantly. Its compact, super fine bristles are soft and flexible. I intend to dip a little further into the brush portfolio to see what else they have.

EDP Sample Fragrance Set
This was hands-down the biggest surprise to me. I struggle to find frangrances I like - I’m super picky. I’d been using Balenciaga B exclusively for years but I just can’t seem to get my hands on it, on either side of the pond. So I figured, for less than £6, I’d give it a go. There was a silver and a gold winner for me. In second place is Love. I won’t bother trying to describe it - it’s just yummy. But the real winner is the Petals, Heiogrope & Ambrette. I suspect the sample sets contain different scents but I can tell you…it’s worth the gamble.

Shine Up Lip Colour
UK: https://bit.ly/32X6N5w US: https://bit.ly/3jxKjOy
The way it works is this…I pay £20 a month for my membership and that allows me to spend £200 on product. That cost is calculated using the non-member price. Below is an example:
Non member Member price price
Japanfusion cleanser £25 £6.91
Doublesided Cloths £15 £6.71
Dr Glycolic Pads £25 £9.35
Jeju Daily AM/PM Moisture
Superinfusion £70 £11.71
Featherlight SPF 50 £45 £10.10
Shine Up Balm Stick £20 £4.74
£200 £49.52
To me, this is a no-brainer. I love their products, I love the access I have to great products and I love the price. You can join for as little as £5 a month. They are only shipping to the US and UK but I know they’ve plans to expand.
