Best Hair Dryer Ever
There is nothing like a good hair day. And the best feeling? Walking out of the salon. Even if it’s cold and rainy it feels like the sun in shining, the birds are singing. A Cinderella kind of moment.
I’ve never been particularly skilled at doing my own hair. Some people just have a knack for it – unfortunately, that’s not me. And it’s not for lack of trying. Since the age of 8, I’d spend hours in my room tinkering with curling irons, hair rollers and even crimpers (yes, I’m a product of the 70’s).
Around the age of 10, my bangs (fringe) wouldn’t fit into my ponytail, so I chopped them off, as close to the scalp as I could. I don’t have to tell you what a bad idea that was or how long it took to look normal again. My mom was furious.
Fast-forward 35 years; I’ve never really had a lot of good hair days on my own. I’ve used round brushes, flat brushes, mousses, gels, serums, the works. I blow-dry in sections, I pull up to get body, pull down for a sleek look. Mostly I just get a headache. I’m really a get-it-done-as-quickly-as-I-can kinda girl when it comes to my hair. I’ll spend all day on my skincare, but don’t have huge patience for hair.
I have flat, fine hair – pretty boring and lifeless. I always wish I had the flowing, full-bodied hair that whips across a gorgeous gal’s face in shampoo commercials. Ah well. Despite my inadequacies, I somehow seem to spend a lot of time blow-drying my hair. We’re talking 6 days a week on average. That’s about 312 days/1,560 hours per year. You think I’d be better at this by now!
I wasn’t…until I discovered this bad boy. The Revlon Pro Collection One Step Dryer & Volumiser has totally changed my life. Yes, I’m aware of how shallow that sounds but every now and then you come across something that’s truly a game changer in your daily life. Its easy to use, - my hair is done in about 5 minutes - and while it’s not necessarily salon-standard, I feel mighty fine when I leave every morning. Everyday is a good hair day for me.
I have told everyone about this product. My friends, colleagues, moms and even strangers in the shops. I will not be without it. If this one dies (we’re already more than 600 blow dries down and it’s going strong), I’ll buy another. And another. I have an American version for trips home (different voltage and plug) and one for this side of the pond. If you’re on the fence, I’m officially kicking you over. You’re welcome.
